Minerals, Precious Metals & Commodity Trading

Sourcing, buyer–seller introductions, and trade coordination for minerals, precious metals, and other commodities.

Harvested commodity being prepared for onward trade

Overview

Commodity trade — whether minerals, precious metals, or agricultural and industrial commodities — depends on credible counterparties and carefully coordinated logistics and documentation. We help buyers and sellers find each other, support the coordination of sourcing and trade, and bring the same facilitator discipline to this sector that we apply across the firm: no instrument issuance, no guaranteed pricing, and no shortcuts around compliance.

Who this is for

Buyers and sellers of minerals, precious metals, and other commodities seeking credible counterparties, sourcing support, or trade coordination across Kenya, East Africa, and international markets.

Business needs this addresses

  • Introductions to credible counterparties on the other side of a trade.
  • Support coordinating the practical and documentary steps of a commodity transaction.
  • A facilitator who understands the sector's particular risk of fraudulent offers and will not entertain them.
  • Clarity on what compliance and due-diligence steps a given commodity trade will require.

What we provide

  • Introductions between buyers and sellers of minerals, precious metals, and other commodities.
  • Coordination support across sourcing, logistics, and documentation during a trade.
  • Guidance on the due-diligence and compliance steps typically expected in commodity transactions.
  • Referral to appropriate trade-finance, assay, or logistics partners where a transaction requires them.

Frequently asked questions

Do you buy or sell commodities yourselves?

No. We facilitate introductions and coordinate trade between buyers and sellers; we are not a trading counterparty, and we do not take ownership positions in the commodities we help connect parties around.

Can you guarantee a price or a buyer?

No. Pricing and the decision to transact rest with the buyer and seller themselves, based on their own negotiation and due diligence.

We were offered gold or minerals far below market price with upfront fees requested — is this legitimate?

Treat this with serious caution. Below-market pricing combined with upfront fees is a recognised pattern in commodity-trade fraud. We do not request upfront fees to "release" or "confirm" a commodity, and we would advise independently verifying any such offer before sending any payment.

Qualifications & limitations

Eye of Africa facilitates introductions and coordination in commodity trade; it does not buy, sell, hold, or guarantee title to any commodity, and does not guarantee pricing, quality, or counterparty performance.
