Overview

We work with project sponsors, developers, and contractors to structure how a project is financed, and to introduce it to financing partners whose mandates fit the project — development finance institutions, private credit funds, infrastructure investors, and banks active in Kenya and the wider region. Where a project needs short-term capital to bridge a gap ahead of a larger financing close, we help assess whether bridge financing is a realistic fit and introduce it to parties who arrange that kind of facility.

Who this is for

Project sponsors, developers, EPC contractors, and SMEs with a capital-intensive project that needs structuring advice and introductions to financing partners, rather than financing from us directly.

Business needs this addresses

  • A credible route to financiers who are actually active in the project's sector and size bracket, instead of a long, untargeted search.
  • An honest read on whether a project is currently financeable, and what is missing before it will be.
  • Structuring input — capital stack, sequencing, and the kind of security or guarantees financiers will expect to see.
  • Short-term bridge capital to cover a defined gap ahead of a larger financing close.

What we provide

  • Reviewing the project's financing readiness and identifying gaps before approaching financiers.
  • Structuring advice on capital stack, phasing, and financing sequencing.
  • Introductions to development finance institutions, private credit providers, and bank financing teams whose mandates match the project.
  • Coordinating the information financiers request during their own due diligence.
  • Where relevant, introductions to parties who arrange bridge facilities for a defined, time-bound gap.

Frequently asked questions

Do you provide the financing yourselves?

No. Eye of Africa is an adviser and facilitator — we structure, prepare, and introduce. Financing itself is provided by the banks, funds, or institutions we connect a project to, on their own terms and subject to their own approval.

What size of project do you work with?

This depends on the sector and the financing partners whose mandates we are introducing a project to. Share the project's profile through our enquiry form and we will advise whether it is a realistic fit for the partners we work with.

Can you guarantee a project will be financed?

No one can guarantee that, and we do not claim to. Financing decisions rest entirely with the financing institution after its own due diligence and approval process.

Qualifications & limitations

Eye of Africa does not lend, issue financing, or guarantee that any project will be financed. We are not a bank or financial institution. Outcomes depend on the financing partner's own assessment and approval.
